Black screen on iOS & Android after updating app on TestFlight and Google Play

  • Basic description of the problem:
    Installing a clean app works fine on iOS & Android, but for both platforms, updating the app via TestFlight or Google Play will result only in the cocoon splash screen, then a black screen. It so happens that my game music is playing. I’m using howler.js set to autoplay the music, before I get into other functions in the create() step of phaser.

    Any iOS & Android build

  • Steps will reproduce the problem:

  1. Install fresh app, works fine
  2. Update build, publish to TestFlight & PlayStore
  3. Update app on device, only cocoon splash screen, black screen with music playing
  • Expected result:
    Game should reboot normally

    Relevant error log part or you can attache the log file in case is too big
