[Construct2] How to build with CocoonIO

#41

Thank you. I will do that.

#42

Hey I was reading your Cocoon Ads tutorial and was wondering if the plugin could also work for Chartboost ads because in the tutorial it only shows admob.

#43

I’m not quite sure but yes. Search the cocoon plugins in your project settings. Then install the Chartboost instead of the AdMob SDK.

I only use AdMob that’s why the tutorial only shows how to add AdMob.
If you make screen shots and write some text I going to add it to the tutorial :wink:

Regards
Andy

#44

So basically all I have to do is put the chartboost interstitial ID on the CocoonAds construct 2 plugin and then install the chartboost cocoon plugin and it should work?

I’m asking because I want to use admob for the banners and chartboost for interstitials

#45

Well I’m not sure if you can use both SDK in one Project. The best would to try it :wink:
Otherwise you must ask a cocoon developer here in the forum.

Sorry that I’m not able to help you with that.

Regards
Andy

#46

ok thx for the reply =)

#47

Andy, I think that the problem I was having was because C2 213 has a broken export. I reverted to the last stable version and export works fine now!

#48

Awesome news :slight_smile: Hope it will be fixed with the next stable version :wink:

Hi guys, I have faced with a problem with Leaderboard. I made all my preparation exactly according the andy_reitberger’s shatter-box and Captain_Crocus’s Leaderboard tut. But for some reason I always get Error on compilation. The problem is that cocoon io can’t install Google Play Games Social API due to the APP_ID missing. But I do put the ID in the plugin properties and even checked it in config. (I do use the correct ID from the GP game services 59**********4) :frowning:

The Error:

P.S I used only two plugins: CocoonCanvasplus and CocoonGooglePlayGames.

#50

Hi @Nagval33

nice to see you here again :wink:
Can you please send me your config.xml (from the cloud compiler --> cocoon.io (login) --> choose your project --> config.xml) code in a private message here?
Maybe there is an issue.

I’m glad to check that for you.

Regards
Andy

#51

We could fix the issue by replacing following code in the config.xml (I’m not sure why this code appeared in your config.xml file)

Replace following code (or if your code just doesn’t look like the correct code bwlow)

<cocoon:plugin name="cocoon-plugin-social-android-googleplaygames">
        <a0:param xmlns:a0="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" name="APP_ID" value="YOUR_ID"/>

With the correct code

<cocoon:plugin name="cocoon-plugin-social-android-googleplaygames">
        <param name="APP_ID" value="YOUR_ID"/>

Make sure that you replace YOUR_ID (at value="") with your numeric Google Play ID!

Andy

Hi @andy_reitberger

I stumbled across your post here, I can confirmed this works for Play Games Plugin.
That error had me for about more than 3 hours compiling again and again, searching something wrong on my cloud compiler and also my .capx for nothing!
Now it works.

Thanks a lot that made my day!
Regards :joy:

#53

Thanks to Andy for his response. Just remember that you can also configure the plugins from he plugins interface in the Cocoon cloud. When a plugin has been installed, you select it and you’ll see that you can add a parameter there. Of course you can also do it manually using the config.xml interface.

#54

#58

Hello, @andy_reitberger! Thanks for your tutorial, but i still don’t understand how to get working Facebook, cause i can’t find my Facebook channel url =(
Help me, please!
Regards, Fenix

#59

Hi,
The channel ID is in the link of your facebook page. I’ll update that. As far as I know this is not a mandatory Information.

Regards Andy

#60

Hi @andy_reitberger! Im also a little bit confused about the facebook channel…
Is the link to your facebook app? Example: https://developers.facebook.com/apps/xxxxxxxx/dashboard/
Or is a link where you can put a facebook page to promote? Something like your company/brand

Thanks
